My coaching philosophy ... “Begin with a dream, and then systematically turn that dream into a goal through work”.

is described by Jane Savoie in the book “That Winning Feeling” (1992).  The aim of the “work” we all need to do with our horses or ponies is suggested by the “FEI Handbook Guidelines for Judging” (2007) to be ... “ the development of the horse into a happy athlete through harmonious education”.

Sometimes this is easier said than done!  So, to keep me inspired and focused on my dreams, this statement by Nina Graham (1992) helps :

“Believe in yourself  ... there is nothing you cannot achieve”

And finally ... a quote from the lovely Jonathan Livingstone Seagull story by R. Bach (1972) :

“No limits, Jonathan... His race to learn had begun.”

“As a rider and trainer Val is 100% committed to a correct/no short cuts method of training, with a kind and caring attitude to her own and other people’s horses.  Val understands how clients feel to be doing their 1st affiliated Nov/Elem/Med/PSG+ test ... because Val has done it herself.  Val is professional, discreet and dedicated.”
